Smart Home Devices & Speakers

Control your home independently

AMAZON ECHO DOT

The Echo is an inexpensive investment for those just getting into smart home automation. However, it can control a wide variety of devices. The third-generation Dot has a larger and more powerful speaker than the previous model, and it has an updated design with a more attractive cloth cover. In addition to turning your lights and other devices on and off, the Dot can also read news headlines, weather reports, sports scores, and a host of other things.

There are several versions of Echo available:

HUBITAT ELEVATION

The Hubitat Elevation hub is not for smart home novices, but advanced users will appreciate the depth and complexity with which they can connect all of their smart home devices. The hub itself is small, but can connect to both Zigbee and Z-Wave devices. There's a learning curve to Hubitat's web interface, and there's no mobile app yet, but you can do far more with Hubitat than SmartThings.

SAMSUNG SMARTTHINGS V.3

If you have a wide variety of smart home gadgets, you'll need a central system to integrate and control them all. While it has its imperfections, we found the Samsung SmartThings hub to be the best of the lot. It works with a wide range of devices and now has Wi-Fi built in, so you don't need to plug it into your router; this makes it easier to place in your house for the best connection to all your smart home devices.

APPLE TV 4K

The Apple TV can act as your home kit help allowing you to use Siri to controlling your connected home automation devices. you can also set up your iPad and HomePod as your home kit as well.

It allows you to control all of your apps such as Netflix, HBO go, Showtime anytime etc. this is extremely helpful if you use switch control like myself since using switch control on my phone lets me access all of these without using the remote. You can also turn your TV on and off and adjust the volume from the Apple TV app on your phone. I would recommend this product if you are switch control user.

Plus, if you also have a Chromecast, you can control it via voice through Google Home.
